There are little things we can all do to help look after our mental health. Having good mental health helps us relax more, achieve more and enjoy our lives more. The following support services are available to help with your mental wellbeing:

Mindlogo

Mind Mid Herts – a mental health provider for people aged 16 years and over.  They support positive mental health working across three themes; prevention, social support and recovery. They understand everyone’s needs are different and work in a person-centred way to ensure the people of Hertfordshire’s mental health is supported and respected so that nobody has to face a mental health problem alone. Newleafcollegelogo

New Leaf Recovery & Wellbeing College – offer educational courses about mental wellbeing supporting personal recovery. Their ethos is to increase students’ knowledge and skills and help them take control by learning self-management strategies to help their mental health and wellbeing. The concept emerged by recognising people as being experts in their own care, and the belief that their views should be central to their recovery journey. It is provided by national mental health charity, Chasing the Stigma, and brings local, national, peer, community, charity, private and NHS mental health support and services together in one place for the first time. Wellbeing Service – offers free and confidential talking therapy and practical support for Hertfordshire residents experiencing a wide range of mental health problems such as: worry, low mood, insomnia and stress. They also provide support for carers, people who are struggling with the reality of living with long term physical health conditions or who are experiencing low mood and anxiety during or after pregnancy. Mindhertfordshirenetworklogo

NightLight Crisis Centre – is a countywide out-of-hours mental health crisis service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who are feeling distressed and experiencing a crisis. Their Hemel Hempstead Crisis Centre has four bed spaces that can be used if an overnight or weekend stay would help you to resolve your crisis. The beds are available for all Hertfordshire residents (depending on capacity) on Friday through to Tuesday mornings. For further details please visit their website here.
