Bedwell Medical Centre and Roebuck Surgery (Updated 12/06/2025)

IMPORTANT NEW PROCESS FOR GP APPOINTMENTS

From October 2025 all GP surgeries in England are required to offer online consultation from 8am to 6.30pm, this is in line with NHS England’s goal of a digital first NHS. For this to run smoothly from October we are currently trialling an online consultation model using the AccuRx software package.

Please note, there is no change to urgent requests. If you feel your query is urgent and must be dealt with on the day, continue to phone Reception. Non urgent queries will however be redirected back to the online consultation form. If your concern could be life threatening, please call 999.

If you do not have access to the internet, please Call Reception and they will complete the same online form for you on your behalf.

Shephall Health Centre

Whilst we are offering more appointments than last year, demand for appointments is high. To provide the best possible service for patients, it is practice policy for patients to complete an e-Consult for doctor appointment requests so a clinician can prioritise these according to need, which is safer than first come first served.

Shephall use an online appointment service called eConsult as their preferred method of contact for appointments, which involves a series of simple questions about your medical or admin query. Online consultations are available Mon to Thurs 8:30am to 6:25pm and Friday 8:30am till 1pm. These requests are triaged throughout the day by clinicians.

Nursing appointments can be booked via telephone or via eConsult. You can also continue to call the surgery administration team if you do not have access to the internet.
